Aquatic Therapy

Aquatic Therapy addresses issues with weak trunk and extremity muscles, postural control, coordination, balance, flexibility, motor planning, and motor control while in a pool. The aquatic environment provides buoyancy and reduces weight bearing stress giving the patient the opportunity to develop skills with minimal stress of the joints.

Our Therapy Professionals are trained to provide safe and effective treatment to meet individual goals to support land-based progress related to movement.

About the Program

Aquatic therapy requires a physician’s prescription for a physical therapy evaluation and treatment. If you feel your child needs therapy for movement related challenges, please contact your child’s pediatrician.
